Manna House

In partnership with Jekyll Presbyterian Church, our church provides lunch at Manna House on the fourth Tuesday of every month from 9:30 am – 1:00 pm. If you’d like to volunteer, please contact Dottie Short at tgpchurch608@gmail.com.

IMG_1850Manna House is a local “soup kitchen” type ministry that feeds needy people in our community. It is located at 1408 G Street in Brunswick (on the corner of G Street and MLK Blvd.) Different churches and community organizations provide support for the ministry. Our church is responsible for the meal on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Our church members typically prepare and serve a good, hot meal of beef-vegetable stew, salad, bread, dessert, and drinks.

Volunteers begin arriving at Manna House at about 9:30 a.m. to begin preparing the mid-day meal. With the recent hardships many people have experienced, the number of people coming to eat has grown. Our church often serves as many as 175 -200 people. . If you would like to be involved in this ministry, please contact Dottie Short by email at tgpchurch608@gmail.com for more information.
