The 1st Annual Pray For Me Campaign Kickoff was held on Sunday, November 1st, 2015 immediately following worship services. All Prayer Champions, church youth and their families were in attendance. Refreshments and fellowship were enjoyed.
During the Campaign Kickoff, the church youth (kindergarten through college) invited 3 adults to invest in their lives by praying for them on a daily basis over the course of the current school year. Our goal is to equip young people with inter-generational relationships they need to stay connected in the church and rooted in their faith.
Pictures were then taken of the youth with their Prayer Champions. Prayer guides were distributed to Prayer Champions to use in their daily prayers. Prayer Champions pray using the Pray For Me Guide, which is designed to help adults stay the course in effectively praying Scripture over their student(s) for a school year. It covers the 7 Essential Biblical categories that ensure students are prayed for in ways critical to their flourishing in the faith. (Wisdom, Favor, Speech, Conduct, Love, Faith, and Purity)
